the uncommon object

When we started manufacturing home and office accessories in 1996, the first question we asked ourselves was not what to manufacture, but, rather, why? Why make another product?

We thought our objects needed to have something special, something that set them apart, a reason to exist that went beyond the generic cliché of form and function.

The result is a collection of uncommon objects that challenge our perception of everyday things. They are not about making a prettier picture frame, nor about inventing a better way to slice bread; they are objects that ask for interaction, exploration, understanding. They are about us as thinking individuals, our culture, our time.

We hope you’ll share our sentiment that these objects deserved to exist.
